The Nest’s Story

Hi, I'm Alexandra — yoga teacher, founder of The Nest, and a lifelong student of movement, mindfulness, and the science of well-being.
I was born in Kazakhstan and spent my childhood between Central Asia and the United States before eventually settling in France. That in-between upbringing shaped how I see the world: curious, open, and always searching for what feels grounding and human.
I've been practicing yoga for over twenty years, trained here in France, and have spent years studying anatomy, functional movement, and evidence-based approaches to stress and happiness. My background in user experience design shapes how I teach too: I like things clear, intentional, and human-centered.
The Nest is built around one idea: that yoga works best when you feel safe enough to actually try. Small classes, real community, no judgment… and the occasional giggle when someone (including me) falls out of tree pose. My hope is that this becomes the kind of place you come back to not just for the yoga, but for the people. A place to learn something about yourself, have a laugh, and leave feeling a little more like yourself than when you walked in. Wobbles welcome.
My classes blend dynamic flow with functional strength, breathwork, and real life — including motherhood, injury, and the various seasons of being human. The belief underneath all of it: yoga is meditation in motion. A way to return to presence, reconnect with yourself, and let go of perfectionism, one breath at a time.
